Every installation is guaranteed for between ten and twenty years, giving you complete piece of mind that your installation will be maintenance free.
There are two options available for your installation, both of which carry the same guarantee. There are no noticeable differences between the two options, its dependent on the condition of your fascia boards.
Capping:
If your fascia boards are in good general condition, they can be capped over using a 10mm thick capping board. Before installation, our tradesmen fully recondition the roofline which involves removing any suspect areas where required which are normally found at the top of a gable or on the box ends.
Once removed, the suspect areas are fully replaced with new treated timber. The capping boards are then installed with full ventilation where required to allow air to circulate which is very important to ensure your roof has sufficient air flow. All guttering and down pipes are then replaced.
Full Replacement:
If your fascia boards are rotten beyond repair, then a 20mm thick full replacement is the only option. We do not cover over problem areas. During installation, the fascia boards and soffits are removed, any rotten wood found on the roof truss ends is removed or treated as required prior to installing the new fascia boards and soffits.
Full ventilation is installed where required which is very important to ensure that your roof has sufficient air flow. Up to two layers of tiles are removed, the roofline is inspected, rigid eaves protectors are installed over the felt edges to ensure the correct flow of water to the guttering.
Dry Verging:
Dry verging can be installed during a capping or full replacement installation. A PVC casing is installed over the tile edges on the gables, this replaces the need for re-pointing, meaning that your tile edges on your gables are maintenance free.
